Did You Know...?

"Adoration" comes from latin root: adora-tio, which literally means mouth-to-mouth contact.

What an interesting and beautiful image on the adoration of the Eucharist. We adore the Body of Christ and therefore, we become so close in contact with Him. While we are adoring and receiving the Eucharist, we are that close to Christ, as His lover, as His bride.

Just as marriage transforms the man and the woman to become alike, the Eucharist, which is our marriage to the Lamb, transforms us to be more like Christ. That is why receiving the Eucharist frees us more and more from the slave-master relationship. We are transformed by our marriage to Christ to be children of God our Father. We inherit the Holy Spirit, which is the Love between the Father and the Son, and we also inherit Christ’s mission, which is to bring everyone to the Father’s house.

God bless you all,
