I was attending a priest ordination Mass for a long time friend and brother in Christ, Fr. Budi Wardhana. The Archdiocese of Los Angeles represents many ethnic groups and Indonesia is one of them. During the offering, they used Javanese/Balinese traditional festive stemmed from the old Majapahit Kingdom that used to encompass a few of the South East Asian nations.
Two things starkly remind me of home. First, it was the fruit offering that was brought as the symbol of gratitude of the land. Second, there was a presentation of the umbrellas of the King following behind it.

When I look at these, my heart was bubbling up with prayers for the islands of Indonesia. It is a beautiful nation. However, some part of the country is wrecked with economic, social, and political distress. I asked God to flood my birth nation with His healing restorative power.
There is a reason why I was born there. God started to reveal it clearer in that moment. Thank you Jesus.
Glory to the Trinity!
